The XXII General Chapter has reminded us that the SHARED MISSION It is a vital question that starts from the certainty that the charisma of José Gras y Granollers, is alive in the Daughters of Christ the King and in many lay people with whom we share the mission that Jesus Christ entrusted to us in his Church: May the Kingdom advance. For this reason, it reminds us that we must understand the Shared Mission as a rich space of diversity and complementarity that carries with it a slow process, perhaps, of reflection and of situating ourselves before this new reality.
It is important to remember that to grow on this path, we must continue working and delving into the Institutional Plan for the Training of Educators, which is based on three attitudes that our Educational Thinking considers essential for educators in the “Christ the King” Centers, because they are like characteristic features of the pedagogy that springs from the charismatic vision of Father Gras:
- Self-denial: Necessary to carry out the educational mission[1] and achieve the goals of a true Christian education.
- The zeal of an apostle: which leads the educator to delve deeper into the person of Christ, to make him known and to promote Christian values personally and professionally, in himself and in his students.
- Responsibility in the faithful fulfillment of its mission: knowing that to do this the educator must always seek to be up to date, and this requires constant growth, reflection and confrontation with the Gospel, of which he is a witness and messenger, as well as a continuous process of socialization and inculturation, from the study and observation of the needs and realities of his environment.[2]
