The Christ the King Apostolic Movement was born in 1992 from the Institute of the Daughters of Christ the King with the desire to share with the lay faithful the spiritual wealth of its founder, the Venerable José Gras y Granollers, who in 1866 had founded the Academia y Corte de Cristo, a religious and literary association of the one that emerged from the Institute in 1876 and that lasted in time until the 1960s.
The Movement is made up of men and women from 10 years of age, from different nationalities, speakers of different languages and inserted in the world in different professions and occupations.
All the members of the Movement have the purpose of recognizing, accepting and proclaiming Jesus Christ as King and Lord of their own life, of the Universe and of History.
Like the Institute, the spirituality of the Christ the King Apostolic Movement is inspired by the spiritual wealth of Venerable José Gras y Granollers, marked by a strong Christocentrism, and with a deep sense of Church, to which its members adhere with firm faith feeling active members of it.
The stages of the M.A.R. It is presented differentiated in scarves of different colors, with the following organization:
The “Friends of the Kingdom ” It is formed by the children from the First Communion. It is considered an initiation stage and lasts until twelve years, its scarf is the yellow one.
The "Discoverers of the Kingdom" They are structured on two different levels according to age and commitment experiences.
- The first level, with the orange scarf, it is made up of those who access from the "Friends of the Kingdom", and is made up of boys / girls from 12 to 14 years old. In these years, the spirituality and demands of the M.A.R. are beginning to be discovered more fully, faith is developed and an age-appropriate apostolate begins.
- The second level, with the red scarf, he begins at age 15 and lasts until the age of 17. In him one must reach a deepening of the spirituality of the Movement, a personalization of the faith and a commitment to the apostolate and witness.
The "Kingdom Builders" They are formed by young people from 17 to 25 years old who choose to do a Personal Life Project according to the values of the Kingdom and commit themselves to a more direct apostolate, their scarf is green.
The "Communities of the Kingdom" They are made up of those people who decide to “make life” their personal project from different paths, their headscarf is blue.
