On June 26, I left my country for Spain, without imagining to what extent this trip would transform my heart. When I arrived in Madrid, I had the joy of being welcomed with great warmth and simplicity by the sisters of the general government.
My first stop was Granada, where I had the grace to discover the crypt of our Founding Father. In front of this holy place, I was left speechless. Emotion overwhelmed me, and silence became my prayer. I confided my intentions to the Father and to the sisters who preceded us.
The sisters from Granada also welcomed me with great warmth and simplicity. From there, I left for Jaén, passing through Villanueva del Arzobispo, to join the camp of the Christ the King Apostolic Movement, with the young people. What richness! Their joy, their freshness, their love of life deeply edified me. From them, I learned to see differently: in their spontaneity, God spoke to me. And beyond the activities and meetings, I had the joy of making great friendships. Sincere bonds were created, friendships which continue to inhabit my heart like gifts from God.
Then, I had the grace to meet the old sisters of Jaén. Looking at each of them, I said to myself: “How many years of fidelity, what silent sacrifices behind that smile! » My heart was filled with emotion, and my eyes with tears. They were tears of admiration and gratitude.
But the peak of my trip was Rome, where I participated in the Youth Jubilee. What unforgettable grace! What emotion to see thousands of young people from all over the world gathered together, united by the same faith and the same love of Christ! In this praying and joyful crowd, I felt the strength of the living Church. I was left devastated, unable to find words. It was a spiritual bonfire. In this Jubilee, I understood that Christ is truly alive in the hearts of youth.
This trip was not just a trip. It was an encounter: an encounter with God, with the young people, with the sisters, and also with myself. I come back different, renewed, with a heart full of gratitude for all the wonders that the Lord has made me experience.
In closing, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the general government for this wonderful gift it has given me. May Christ the King reign in our lives and throughout the world!
