On Saturday, March 25, we participated, as HCRs, in the "PYV Meeting", a convocation of the CONFER Youth Vocation Ministry Area (PJV) that brings together PYV leaders from different congregations and young people with evangelizing experience, to reflect together. on a topic of common interest.
This year, it was about sharing perspectives on youth ministry, to arrive at a "SWOT" of our moment in relation to this task of the YMW: meeting with young people, proposal of faith and vocational discernment.
The activity was carried out in the premises of the Youth Center of the Salesians, in Madrid. After a time of prayer, in the key of discernment, there was space for dialogue in pairs and for group work. After lunch, we shared coffee with several guests: three young people who had recently participated in the Joint Assembly of the PJ National Council and several young people representing dioceses, congregations and movements in our country. We dialogue with them about the opportunities and challenges of synodality, that "walking together" in the Church to which Pope Francis has been strongly inviting us. It was especially motivating to hear the experience of the young guests on "the different sensibilities and styles in the Church".
The meeting ended with an assembly time, to share the "DAFOS" of each group and make one in common, which will be the basis for the Area Reflection Team to prepare a material to share with all the Delegates, and that can inspire pastoral workers in their work.
I consider that the opportunity to listen “live” to the concerns expressed by the young people themselves regarding the YVM has been a richness that contributes a lot to reflection and putting it into practice.
