“Growing in love for life – Affection and sexuality in our PJV”
Once again, from our youth ministry, we were present at the “PJV Meeting” of delegates and young people to which the CONFER PJV area calls us every year in Madrid.
Among the many educational challenges that exist today is that of education in affectivity and sexuality. This has been the theme worked on in the “PJV Meeting”, with the title “Growing in love for life – Affectivity and sexuality in our PJV”.
Held on March 9 at the Salesiano school on Paseo de Extremadura, it brought together 35 leaders and young people with pastoral experience to advance the reflection that has been carried out by the expanded Team of the area. An attempt to shed light on the multiple issues involved in these realities, taking into account our socio-cultural context, from the Christian perspective and the ecclesial belonging of our institutions.
Along with the reflection and dialogue between those present, the meeting featured several guests belonging to four entities that are working on these issues with young people and educators, who had a dialogue moderated by Tomás J. Marín, professor at Loyola University:
- Eduardo Navarro: “Let's Learn to Love” (Francisco de Vitoria University)
- David Cabrera, sj: “Training in affective-sexual education” (Pontifical University of Comillas)
- Helper Gómez, FMA “Affective-sexual itinerary” (María Auxiliadora Foundation – Salesianas)
- Nuria Marzo and David Blaya: “I do not fear – Theology of the Body” (youth community reality)
