From November 14 to 16, 2025, the Daughters of Christ the King met in Kaolack in the presence of Sister Béatrice Amy NDOUR, General Councilor visiting Senegal.
The work began on the afternoon of Friday November 14 at 7 p.m. introduced by a celebration and followed by the viewing of the 150th anniversary video. There followed a time of sharing during which the sisters, in turn, and in all simplicity, gave their impressions and evoked the figures who marked their vocational journey.
The prayer of the Founding Father followed by some recommendations concerning the day of Saturday brought an end to this first meeting. The day of November 15 begins with a Eucharistic celebration at the Brothers of the Sacred Heart followed by breakfast.
After the opening prayer at 9:45 a.m., Sister Béatrice spoke to us about the theme of the day.
A silent adoration allowed us to internalize all of this before sitting down to eat and sharing in a very fraternal atmosphere a diversity of menus from here and elsewhere.
At 4 p.m., we resumed work. The various very important points of this theme sound like encouragement and at the same time constitute challenges for everyone.
After dinner, we enjoyed a very beautiful recreational evening celebrating the joy of being together, the joy of consecrated life, the joy that hope arouses.
On Sunday the 16th, we went to the Saint Théophile Cathedral in Kaolack for the Eucharistic celebration. Upon returning from mass, work resumed with prayer followed by the theme of the day.
At the end of the meeting, Sister Béatrice NDOUR spoke to urge us to live the mission with joy to the point of contaminating others: “The Lord wants us to be happy, my sisters, let us be happy!”
