Vocational coexistence in El Carballo

  • Vocational Youth Ministry
  • 11 May 2023

From Saturday, May 6 to Sunday, May 7, we celebrated a vocational gathering in the community of El Carballo, with the participation of 12 boys and girls from the parishes of Sta. Cruz and Pastoriza, accompanied by their parish priests.

There was a first moment of meeting and testimony, in which young people, priests and religious gave our testimony of Faith. Then we shared a fraternal dinner. And after dinner we move on to the central moment of the meeting: the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Adoration of the night was a very special moment, it supposed the encounter of each one with Jesus Eucharist through prayer and prayerful reading of the Word of God, accompanied by singing and silence.

The next day we carried out different dynamics to share where each one of us is at and where we want to go in our relationship with God.

We ended the morning with a beautiful Eucharist in the garden, in which we were all able to participate actively.

The meal was a special moment where the spontaneous sharing of everything lived these days arose and the table was the space where the conclusions and new projects emerged, to continue walking together. This has been the first of many other encounters to come. The next meeting will be in 15 days, to have another moment of adoration to the Blessed Sacrament and share some pizzas together and the next day an excursion to the Mariano de Pastoriza sanctuary.

The community is grateful for this opportunity to meet and get closer to the youth of the Parish and they have responded with enthusiasm and generosity, willing to continue these meetings.

We thank our King for making it possible.
