One year after we announced the process of updating the Statutes of the Cristo Rey Apostolic Movement, the final text was recently approved by the CXIX Plenary Assembly of the CEE, held in Madrid on April 29, 2022.
Once presented at meetings held on May 8, June 11 and 13 with the national and local leaders of the Movement in Spain, Latin America and Africa respectively, and made available to the Daughters of Christ the King and the members of the Movement, We already have the updated Statutes for each country available on the Institute's website (and soon also on the Movement's) (in the 7 documents we can read the same text with a single variant, the address of the national headquarters).
As we know, these are already valid, for the internal functioning, in all the countries where the Movement is present, and will be presented by the National Councils, following the corresponding process, in the respective Episcopal Conferences of the countries where it has not yet been erected the Movement as a Private Association of the Faithful.
Let us pray together so that the reception of these Statutes launches us to continue looking for all possible means to make what is expressed in art.4§2 regarding its spirituality a reality: “In accordance with the Charism that gives rise to it, the members of the Christ the King Apostolic Movement will seek to achieve a love and personal adherence to Christ, which will make him reign over their criteria, affections and actions, ordering life according to the values of the Kingdom”
