On September 8, 1974, our sisters Mª José Puerta and Elvira Puchal made their first profession as Daughters of Christ the King in Granada.
On September 13, 2024, with joy and happiness, the Community of Villanueva del Arzobispo (Jaén) celebrated, together with our sister M.ª José, their golden anniversary. Fifty years of unconditional dedication, dedication and service to others, marked by their faith and love towards Christ, Lord and King of life and history. This celebration not only allowed us to remember the path traveled, but also to appreciate the testimony of his life dedicated to the Lord and to his brothers, a life consecrated to the mission of making Christ reign.
We join your thanksgiving:
For my 50 years of consecrated life, thank you!
I want to live the present moment full of joy and gratitude.
Thank you Lord for the gift of life. Thank you for the gift of faith received in my baptism, becoming a daughter of God and the Church.
Thank you for leaving us your Mother as our Mother. I have come to her to invoke her, ask her for help and thank her for her maternal protection in all moments of my life.
Thank you for my parents and my brothers. I received a lot of love from them, and I learned, among others, the values of respect, responsibility and service to others.
Thank you for my parish, my catechists and teachers who were leading me on the right path and opening my heart to the knowledge of God and his Word.
Thank you for all those people who helped me discover the gift of your call to follow you in Consecrated Life as a Daughter of Christ the King, bringing to life in me the Charisma of our Founder José Gras.
Thank you Lord for having placed your gaze of love on me, your voice that tells me every day: I HAVE CALLED YOU BY YOUR NAME. YOU ARE MINE.
Thank you Lord, for community life where the flow of each day smoothes out rough edges and enriches with the values that each sister brings.
Thank you for those sisters, who today enjoy your presence and transmitted to me, with their example, the value of dedication and fidelity to the gift received.
The joys, as it could not be otherwise, have walked parallel to the difficulties, but I never doubted that you loved me as a Daughter of Christ the King.
Your love, your grace and your mercy always sustained me in weakness. My heart heard your voice, full of mercy and love, telling me: MY GRACE IS ENOUGH FOR YOU...
Today I tell you Lord: How will I repay you for as much good as you have done to me?
From the depths of my being I say:
“I am of Christ, I am through Christ,
I am for Christ.
Yes, I am and I want to be yours eternally.” (P. Gras)
