What are you called to be as a member of the Christ the King Apostolic Movement?
On Saturday, July 11, a national MAR-Peru meeting was held in which members of the Movement from Jaén and Lima, two of the three local presences we have in Peru, as well as their respective local advisers, participated. The National Advisor, Sr. Nermaly Ramírez, convened this meeting by zoom inviting the General Advisor of the MAR, to share with us some brushstrokes on the spirituality of the Movement and the identity of its members.
Although in both places we work through different dynamics and activities, when explaining how these have impacted the members, the similarities of both groups became evident, from the love they have for Christ to the passion that exists behind each action carried out. This sharing of experiences and thoughts allowed those present to realize something extremely important, the vocation that lives in our hearts. Near the end of the meeting, the group realized that, despite busy schedules, personal temptations to leave everything, and even the context in which one lives, attending MAR is about constant renewal through commitments and actions. Likewise, another conclusion we reached was discovering that we are a family, despite the differences that are observed both in Jaén and in Lima, we are all looking for the same treasure, we all go against the current, we all say Christ reigns at the top of our lungs and, we all have the attitude of evangelizing, worshiping and repairing. Therefore, what we learned that day exceeded everyone's expectations, not only did we find the bridge to our MAR-Peru family; but also, towards our sense of vocation.
