“Each year we will have time for spiritual retreat to renew and strengthen our dedication to the Lord. »(Const n * 63) This is what we have tried to live during these eight days at" SUNU KEUR ".
That night of August 17, after supper, we gathered around our sister Beatrice Amy Ndour who will lead the retreat to receive certain information that will help us to live it better. After these, then begins the time of silence that will accompany us until August 25 in the evening.
The time was therefore punctuated by the prayer of the hours, two conferences per day, one in the morning and another in the evening, each followed by a meditation divided into two times, the Eucharist, adoration, and the rosary that we recited individually. There were also moments of personal encounter with the Sister.
We have done some retreats but like this one, it is a first. The content of the various conferences and the way she gave them to us were accessible. We used to hear quotes from the great Saints of the Church but such was not the case with this so-called CHARISMATIC retreat. It is therefore the words of a simple man, a lover and "mad" of Christ the King, a man whose only concern was that Christ Reigns in hearts, a man of Good... our Founding Father Jose Gras y Granollers who have accompanied and allowed us to contemplate and meditate on the different mysteries of the life of Jesus and to revisit our Being as Daughters of Christ the King.
This time of prayer and meditation allowed us to disconnect from the world, from its fantasies and to connect to Christ the King, Source of our Consecration. It was not only a time of prayer but also a time of rest. We thank the Institute which allowed us to spend time among us juniors and to benefit from this time of retirement. A special thank you to the sisters who have used their time to prepare this beautiful and rich content for us and to give it to us. May the Lord and King bless and make our Institute fruitful. Sr Marie Dione.
