Last Thursday, February 27, within the framework of the celebration of Andalusia Day, the Educational Center of Alcalá la Real, received the Hercules 2024 Award in the category of Education and Culture, awarded by the City Council of this town.
This award is a distinction, which, every two years, is granted in five categories, to different personalities and entities of this city. This year and celebrating 125 years of presence in Alcalá, he is recognized "For its trajectory and commitment, for its integral training, its positive impact on the educational community, its initiatives that promote coexistence, respect and integration, as well as the organization of social, cultural and solidarity activities always for the benefit of the educational community of Alcalá”.
The award was received by the M General, Patricia Suárez, the Superior of the Maravillas Serrano Community and the director of the José Luis Pinto school. The event was attended by members and the team of ownership of the José Gras Educational Foundation, sisters of some communities and how not much of the educational community, which, with emotion, joined this award: teaching staff and non -teacher of the school and home school, families, former teachers and students etc.
The emotional words of thanks from the General Mother, collected the four pillars that have sustained in time the educational work and that are a guarantee of the future: the charism of José Gras, the effort of so many generations of daughters of Christ the King, the work and commitment of the educators and families that have trusted the education of their sons to the school and the home school to form them in the values of the gospel. This award is a challenge and encourages us to continue living education in the manner of Jesus, promoting truth, justice and peace.
