With these words I am preparing to pay tribute to the heroines of the King, the nuns of Christ the King who with magnanimity and perseverance have been deploying their apostolic action for decades in Villa Constitución, Argentina. It should be clarified, a tribute in the plural but dedicated to someone in particular.
From the womb (Book of Psalms) until today, more than 50 years have passed, my personal biography was intertwined with the nuns. From my mother's professional performance as a teacher at the Cristo Rey school, my schooling, the history of my Faith, my human formation, personal and social friendship and my definitive vocation to Marriage and Family.
My heart, Christ reigns in our hearts, remembers faces and personalities, evokes times and places. The tenderness of Mother Teresa and the joy of Francisca in the old halls of the Kindergarten, the fervent happiness of Dolores, the holy simplicity of Felisa and her super mortadella sandwich, the venerable walk of the venerable Monserrat, the piscueta spark of Goretti , lightning fast on his bike. Purification, Fatima of noble ideals, and other sisters who were added, over the years, Mirian, Nélida, the accomplice Mariana and Rosa María, my matchmaker, and without a doubt I will forget some, their names and circumstances, but nestled in the heart. A special prayer for Amanda who opened her arms wide to me in Peru, when my story was also written in that country.
Each human virtue shines in the harmonic concert of the vibration of the notes of each one of them in particular, gestating a personal being and doing of more excellence and quality, a virtuous symphony. That is why he named so many nuns, because each one with their own music was forging a special tune, each one of them and among all of them "forged germs of humanity" (Saint John Paul II). Values of the mission that they brought in their own dreams and legacies by José Grass, Faith, Gospel, Education, Service to Others and everything, to give us to so many generations of Villenses.
Above I wrote: a tribute in the plural but dedicated in the singular, to someone special. In that period of time there was, and THANK GOD, there is with us, a Daughter of Christ the King, model of the living Gospel, protagonist and witness of the mission of Christ and of the Congregation in these American lands, ever since she left her native Santander in his warm Spain, when he got on the boat of the Church and anchored in our land, his land, in the south of Santa Fe.
Tiny and dark-haired, with a peaceful smile, tenacious educator, inexhaustible worker, announcer of the Word, permanent testimony, a woman, like the one who held the Cross, settled in the new lands, in which she surely trusted, with FAITH, milk would flow and honey.
And without a doubt, he laid down his roots and with unparalleled courage and self-sacrificing spirit, forged his life project, his, the community and mine. I push, I build, I believe, I walk, I educate, promoter of good, of work, and more, and I don't give in. In its vital coherence, the importance can be appreciated, the same, that the dedication to the breviary can have, like the care of a plant, like the dialogue with a person or its academic rigor. In all there are glimpses of God.
Memories of this nonagenarian servant today, many: travels, words, advice, Legion of Mary, learning, industry, healthy discipline, formation in the Faith and the Sacraments, civility, silences, closeness and endearing dedication to teach us the Prayer of Charles Foucauld's "Father ..." and so many other things.
What stands out in the hero, and in this case in the heroines of the mountain, (that's what we called the school before) and hence the title of this comment, his virtues and especially the fine ability to transfer freedom to so many others concern to put them into practice also, with their lights and shadows, the virtues.
And in this religious, the prefiguration of VIRTUE.
My name is Cristian Monti, I am a “son of Christ the King” from Villa Constitución, Argentina and I want to answer the psalmist: Who will enter to see the face of the Lord? Certainly he who has clean hands and a pure heart, certainly Mother María Rosa will enter to see the Face of the Lord.
Christ the Queen.
