SENEGAL MAN
On September 24, the day of the burial of Maria del Mar Ferreira in Spain (a sister who lived for a long time in Senegal), in Senegal precisely in Mbour, Daba Marie Jeanne NGOM entered the novitiate in the Institute of the Daughters of Christ the King.
The sisters began to arrive little by little from Dakar, Kaolack and Kaffrine. We started the entrance celebration around 12:30 p.m. While we were singing the song of Samuel I felt deep within me an inexplicable but above all inexpressible joy. As the ceremony unfolded, joy and peace of heart came over me, especially when I kissed the cross. I felt at home and welcomed by the entire Institute. So, I said to myself deep down: put on the Daughter of Christ the King that the Lord would have of you.
All the sisters congratulated me. I took the opportunity to encourage my mistress because I am aware that training is neither easy for the trainee nor
for her who must help me to love and make Christ the center of my life while stripping myself of myself.
After the Eucharist presided over by Father Pierre Canisus BADJI (Piarist), we shared a sororal meal. We ended the feast with thanksgiving and
each community has returned to its home.
