“May you shine the crown of grace of your consecration without ceasing.”
With this background theme, inspired by some words of the Father Founder, formative meetings of older sisters have been held in Granada (May 7), Madrid (June 11), Eboli (October 5), Rome (October 8) and El Carballo (October 29). We have met in these Formative Days, sisters who share a stage of life, feeling identified with each other because of what the years bring with them, but above all united by the charisma, by the desire to follow Jesus and to recognize him present as King and foundation of our path. In our history as Daughters of Christ the King, our discouragements and weaknesses have played a role, but here we are, with years behind us and also with a lot of experience of the mercy of the Lord, eager for our consecrated life to be marked by passion for the Kingdom and generous dedication through our service, our words, our face, our fraternity and our prayer. With words of the Father Founder, which resonate in a particular way at this stage of our life, we thus express the foundation of our hope:
"We do not want to wait even in gold, which enslaves the noble ideas of intelligence...; we do not want to wait in the pleasures that pass like a flame that consumes life, and very soon goes out; we do not want, in short, to wait in the vain honors of the world, nor in the applause of its salaried admirers. We only want to wait in You, ineffable Good, perfect joy, infinite holiness, to deserve to adore You and bless You forever and ever."
