On Thursday, May 20, the second International Meeting of Cristo Rey Promotions was held with the motto: “Don't let life escape you, get connected! "
For this meeting, around 220 young people from different countries (Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Peru) who are in the last academic year were connected. This was an experience full of dreams, goals and commitments of so many young people who share the charism of Father José Gras.

On Thursday, May 20, the 2021 class of the Cristo Rey Bogotá school had the opportunity to be at an International Meeting with the other Cristo Rey schools around Latin America; The most interesting thing about this meeting is that we were able to meet new people, exchange lived experiences and, above all, recognize how Christ can reign in the hearts of all of us.
Different activities and reflections were carried out that showed us the importance of our decisions and where our life and happiness are headed. We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity we had to meet different people and share our tastes and ways of seeing the world, in addition to continuing to enrich ourselves with the Charism of our founding Father.

The meeting seemed interesting to us and we really liked being able to share, listen or talk with people from other countries to learn about their current situations and each country.

I would like to share with you the experience that I had with my classmates during a virtual meeting of Latin American schools belonging to the “Hijas de Cristo Rey” Institute. This event took place on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
From my point of view, I consider that this meeting had a positive impact on both me and my colleagues, as it was very emotionally supportive and helped us consider the concept of a life project, encouraging us to work around it and fight for our dreams and our happiness. The topics addressed were varied and according to the stage of youth that we live in and according to the context that we face every day, introducing us in some way to the future that awaits us as young people of the class of 2021.
I thought it was a very good initiative and something very important that they urge us to propose goals and plans based on a life project that revolves around happiness as a personal decision. I was able to take away several reflections and teachings, and I am sure that all of us who were fortunate enough to participate in this event took something away from them. I was able to learn about success, social situations that other people in the world experience, the importance of committing to change, the search for happiness despite adversity and many other things that I know I will never forget and will always help me in the future.
I would like to thank those people who were working to make this meeting possible and congratulate them for the daring of carrying out such a great project. I would like to encourage you to continue working in this way, so that more young people live this unique experience and can take the same lessons as us.

The meeting between the different promotions of the Cristo Rey institutions was a unique and enriching experience, not only were we able to interact with our colleagues in different parts of the world; but we also got to know each other, we shared our dreams and goals, and the views that each one has on life and happiness. We all definitely had a good time listening to each other's opinions and learning about their cultures, I'm sure we all took away a reflection of the activity and a new friend in our lives. We were able to express ourselves freely and empathize with those who are also emotionally affected by virtuality. We thank the school and the Sisters for giving us this new experience, which we will undoubtedly remember with great affection and joy.

I am very happy to have been part of this experience, grateful to the people in charge of making this promotions meeting possible. It was very good for me to be a participant, I learned that our age is not an impediment to making change in society, with small actions we are already doing good. There are no barriers or nationalities to share moments together and express our experiences and realities. The part I liked the most was when we formed small groups, because we were able to interact more, see each other more, get closer. We had a nice dynamic and we had a product to share. I am grateful that I took away very great lessons from this meeting, it has been incredible to be part of it, and I would like to meet again soon.
