Of all the months of the year, there is a month in which Catholics dedicate themselves intensely to awakening and rekindling our vocation to go out of ourselves to announce the Gospel. October is, par excellence, the missionary month. Throughout this time, the Movement in Spain has been involved in the life and mission of the Church, promoting cooperation, as well as the creation of synergies and communion. It is common knowledge that part of the identity of the lay people of José Gras is "to feel like an active member of the Church with a strong apostolic dynamism." And, in fact, it is a reality that since its approval in Spain, in April 2022, the Movement participates and collaborates even more closely with the Church in our country. Specifically, with the
Episcopal Commission for the Laity, Family and Life in the areas of youth and secular apostolate.
As for the first, at the beginning of the missionary month, between October 5 and 8, the Movement participated in the meeting called "Roots and growth" that was held in Malaga with the presence of more than a hundred diocesan delegates and others. responsible for movements, congregations and secular institutes of pastoral work with young people in Spain. In the Andalusian city, those present began a process of study and reflection on "The Processes of Growth in Faith." Dynamics, presentations and discussion tables were the techniques used to share about prayer, formation, ecclesial and social service, accompaniment and vocational discernment in pastoral care with young people. A few days of fraternal coexistence to continue tilling and sowing, in communion.
As for the second, weeks later, the sea was present once more at the National Days of Secular Apostolate that the Episcopal Conference traditionally organizes in Madrid. This XLIV edition has been held in two days, 21 and 22, under the motto "the first announcement as the center of our pastoral action."
During the days of intense work there have been spaces of prayer, dialogue and discernment among the more than a hundred representatives of diocese, associations and movements throughout Spain. Some echoes that have been repeated both in the presentations and in the circles of community discernment have been welcomed, listening, remote, vulnerable and ecclesial communion. It is this area, that of the first announcement, one of the four itineraries along with accompaniment, training processes and public presence, which emanate from the National Congress of Laity, held in Madrid in 2020 and in which already
Our movement was present.
The sea is already working with an eye on the National Meeting of Laity on the first announcement that will be held between February 16 and 18 in the capital of Spain. It is intended to promote, from creativity, spaces for dialogue that make possible the welcome of the Gospel by proposing proposals that lead to Jesus Christ, as well as deepen the formation of evangelizers and their preparation for the listening and transmission of Kerygma.
Missionary from Concepción, the Apostolic Movement Christ King enriches itself with the plurality, diversity and ecclesial heterogeneity, as well as enriches the Church with the charisma and style of the venerable José Gras.
