Remembering ...
Golden Jubilee of the High School Hija de Cristo Rey… .. Stories, traces
After these first fifty years have elapsed, the Educational Community of the Daughters of Christ the King celebrates these Golden Jubilees of the Villa Constitución High School, under the motto of the Founding Father José Gras "Love teaches to teach."
The Hijas de Cristo Rey Institute was born to make Christ reign through education in children, families and society.
On March 15, 1970, 33 students began their secondary education at the Hijas de Cristo Rey School, thus the Educational Project of the Religious Congregation of the Daughters of Christ the King in Villa Constitución, added a new link in their work to make Christ reign. through education in children, family and society.
The heavenly place accompanied the sisters who knew from the first moment
share their joy, their assistance, their self-denial and especially their faith in the propagation of the Kingdom of Christ.
Mount Yenssen bears witness to this story that began in a classroom on the terrace of the nuns' house; which in the early years was concentrated in a handful of rooms with wooden floors and staircases. Little by little the school occupied the entire house and its classrooms spread throughout the park with the Chapel as the center, from where the devotion to Christ the King radiates.
“The physical place, a paradise. The manor house, the park, the eucalyptus, the mountain, the stream, the stone fountain, the little house with the tools, the back house, converted into rooms for different moments ”.
The Colegio de Hijas de Cristo Rey begins with some young teachers who, summoned by Mother Isabel, embarked on the beautiful task of educating ... Many times throughout my life I have remembered the moment when I was summoned by the Mother Superior, a woman of character , with a penetrating gaze, with clear concepts that, without a doubt, invited me, without my suspecting it, to the most beautiful adventure that I had ever imagined or suspected of my life.
El Monte with the central chalet, former residence of the railway superintendents, was leased to Ferrocarriles Argentinos until 1972, when it became property of the Congregation. The Municipality of Rosario had donated 3 trams, two of which were used as classrooms by the primary school and one as a warehouse.
The classrooms were inside the house of the English as we called it, with a thousand and one mystery to discover ... our classrooms were in the upper part ... and the staircase was our daily path to be able to go out to enjoy the great property that surrounded us ... Our meeting place was the school entrance tree where we had breakfast at mid-morning the rich bills that Mother Felisa sold us - along with the appetizing sandwich of a mortadella feta with minon bread - from the wagon ...
Being a Daughter of Christ the King was, is and will be to be absolutely convinced of understanding faith as daily food, in the Eucharists, in retreats, in meetings, in the attentions, in the delicate celebrations after each end of the school year. Events that left an impossible stamp to erase. We learned to share everything of our life, marriage, birth of our children, joys, pains…. in short, our whole life beyond the teaching task to which we dedicated ourselves with passion.
"CHRIST REigns FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS".
HAPPY 50 YEARS DEAR SCHOOL!
