"The sense of vow renewal is not an annual custom but a DAILY PRIVILEGE."
It is to remember our common bond and re-consecrate our lives without reservation to our King who in his mercy and his love called us and continues to be the only reason for our existence.
Celebrating the solemnity of Christ the King is always happiness and immense joy for us because it is celebrating the recognition of his love, his immense mercy in our lives. This year, due to the pandemic situation we are experiencing, everything has been different but no less significant and important. This world situation has helped us to live from the essentials and with more heart as our motto invites us.
In Saquisilí it has helped us to prepare our hearts for the celebration of the confirmations of more than 200 young people. The week before the solemnity we had a small celebration in preparation for the sacrament and confessions. There have been five groups, by small groups and following all biosecurity measures. On Saturday and Sunday the sacrament of confirmation was carried out and the Daughters of Christ the King renewed our consecration before the young people, meaning for us a moment of joy and satisfaction. We were accompanied by the bishop of the diocese of Latacunga Monsignor Giovanni Paz. In addition, we have had the celebration of the Eucharist in our chapel and on Thursday with the parish community.
We thank God for giving us the opportunity to be witnesses in the middle of the canton of Saquisilí, in Ecuador, helping us to strengthen that our Mission as Daughters of Christ the King and to be more of Him. Saquisilí helps us to value the small details, gestures and find in the religiosity of the people to Christ as the only King of our life.
