“FOR EVERYONE AND FOR YOU ANOTHER CHRISTMAS IS TO COME”
This is the motto with which we have launched our traditional CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN this year at the Colegio de Santa Úrsula (Madrid).
Advent is the time reserved in our lives to reflect and meditate, live and celebrate the story of the Birth of Jesus. It is time to remember that we have the responsibility to live walking in justice and love, sharing with others. It is time to offer hospitality in our home, in our community, but above all... in our hearts.
If we pray that the KINGDOM OF GOD IS FOR EVERYONE, how can we not make it reach many others? How can we not share with others what we have received?
Well, this sharing is what we have invited the ENTIRE EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY of the school to make a reality that the KINGDOM is for EVERYONE, making a place in our hearts for all those people in our neighborhood and our closest environment who are not having a good time, families with real problems in managing to eat and live each day.
It's time to act! Aware that our help is important and that we can make Christmas and the situation of our families improve, all students and their families will contribute their food as indicated by their guardians and on the days that correspond to them. Together, by contributing our “food”, we will complete a mural with a crib for the Baby Jesus in primary school and a blanket, which the Virgin knits, for the crib, in secondary school. Students and teachers will collaborate through this symbol so that Christmas brings the warmth of Jesus to all homes.
As a Cristo Rey family we hope that this season of Advent helps us get closer to the Lord and our brothers. Christ Reigns at Christmas!
