SOLEMNITY OF PENTECOST
On this day that with the Church we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, the
Feast of Pentecost, the presence of God among us, with us,
being light, strength and joy to bear witness to it, it has for us,
Community of El Carballo, a special resonance, well, we celebrate the 75
years of religious consecration of our sister Consuelo. we enjoy ourselves
with her for the gift of life, for the call to religious vocation and for her
response and delivery in fidelity during all these years.
Like María, she said yes, she left her land in Granada and has been giving her life
in different places where the Lord has been calling her to serve as a Daughter
of Christ the King throughout all these years. Many different experiences
social and institutional situations, diverse communities... but always a
same desire, to make Christ reign in children, and through them in families and
in society... and everything from prayer and work in the daily life of a
simple and dedicated life.
We all join in his thanksgiving to the Lord and we know that from the place
in which he now wants her, he accompanies us with his dedication, prayer and fraternity.
We started the day, how could it be less, with a beautiful Eucharist,
celebrated by our chaplain, the Carmelite Father José Antonio Fuertes
Martínez, who accompanies her spiritually in this stage of her life, and who
He knew how to be by his side with words of affection and closeness. renewal of vows and
much emotion, thanksgiving… and so many details of the sisters and
people who attended this emotional act.
We meet again to celebrate the day with a fraternal meal and a
very special congratulations from all the sisters of the Community. By
