The Church of God is summoned in Synod. The journey, whose title is "For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission", begins on October 9-10, 2021 in Rome and the following October 17 in each particular Church. With this convocation, Pope Francis invites the entire Church to question itself on a decisive theme for its life and its mission: "Precisely the path of synodality is the path that God expects of the Church of the third millennium". This itinerary is a gift and a task: walking together, and together reflecting on the path traveled, the Church will be able to learn, from what it will experience, what are the processes that can help it to live communion, to participate and to open up to the mission. Our “walking together”, in fact, is what best realizes and manifests the nature of the Church as a pilgrim and missionary People of God.
