After general information and request for contributions for updating in October 2022, in February 2023 he met An international commission made up of 9 laity, proposed by their national councils, and 3 local advisors, proposed for their respective national advisors. We counted, to begin, with the previous contributions that were arriving through the previously sent form and with a basic scheme to unify as much as possible the simultaneous review of the different stages.
As a result of the work of this commission, we obtained drafts who, after several months of review and format adjustments, have recently been sent to national councils for their last review. Received some amendments from the National Councils and made the appropriate corrections, the final manuals have received the approval of the general government.
In summary, we can mention some updated aspects, but when we enter them, in confrontation with the originals, we can verify that there are many more.
- First, the changes that were necessary in everything that, after the Update of the statutes, it had been obsolete. Concordance with the latter has been taken care of in reference to the link with the Institute, admission of candidates, and some other aspects of internal organization.
- No details have been detailed that are not universal and that each national reality can adapt according to their context, as well as legal and administrative aspects that are more typical of statutes.
- Expressions have been changed that have been out of context.
- Non -existent realities have been incorporated in the context of 30 years ago.
- The Organization chart of the internal structure of the movement, not only removing the reference to The provinces, but incorporating groups of different stages such as Base structure of the movement. In addition, the difference between the unipersonal governance bodies chosen in assembly and the advisors, appointed by the general government and connected, in turn, with the collegiate bodies of which they are part has been graphically embodied. All with a Horizontal disposition which takes a turn to the previous pyramidal structure.
- Of course, the essential aspects that are part of the identity have been preserved, also incorporating those that arose later and were not present in the manuals (eight dimensions of spirituality)
