A General Chapter is an event that links us to the past and commits us to the future, which awakens in us the desire for a profound renewal, an opportunity to give thanks for what we have experienced and for the paths that continue to open. It always represents a call for us to live with a new impulse our vocation and our mission as Daughters of Christ the King.
In recent days, we have wanted to embrace our history in the last six years through the presentation by the General Government of the Government and Administration Reports.
Next, we contemplate the reality of the Institute in each place:
- Latin America
- Italy-Albania
- Africa
- Spain
The diversity of our presences and the continuity of our Charisma in them encourages us to continue working for the Kingdom as tireless apostles, as José Gras wished.
The next day, members of the Board of Trustees and Ownership Team of the José Gras Educational Foundation presented to us the journey, signs of hope, difficulties and achievements in these first steps taken. Listening to the voice of those who share our charism and mission, invited us again to BE GRATEFUL. On multiple occasions the Father Founder invites us to do so. On this day and at this moment of our General Chapter, his words are especially relevant:
“I see clearly how much God shows his goodness to the Institution, which forces us to give him continuous thanksgiving” Letter to M. Inés de Jesús 02-24-1888.
Yesterday our reflection and work focused on the evaluation of the government structure. The documents that helped us for this were:
- From the Chapter Document of the XXII General Chapter, the one dedicated to “new structure and style of government.”
- The evaluation carried out by the General Government.
- The contributions of the communities collected in the evaluations in the middle of the six-year term and at the end of it.
We do not want to stop sharing with you the fraternal, serene atmosphere of listening and dialogue that we are experiencing throughout this time of reflection and discernment.
We appreciate your closeness and prayer that you send us through messages and comments on networks. Continue to commend us in your prayers.
